If you havent already heard, a close friend of ours has been in a recent bike race accident. He is suffering from several fractures, and dislocations and was recently discharged and showed up in good spirits to our St. Patty’s Day Dash. We all know that medical bills and bikes are expensive so Devon and I were planning on throwing a race with 100% of proceeds going to bill tran.

all bikes are welcome!
working on getting one or two sponsors for the winner’s prizes
price: $10 (more is definitely welcome, its all going to bill)

this race wont be set up to be incredibly long or tough, winners will be rewarded, but it will be set up to have fun.
race should be roughly 30 miles.helmets are mandatory no excuses

Everyone is encouraged to participate … especially since it’s free friendly competition. Everyone was amazing last time. Big shot out to the Ladies of SJF. Come on out, love your bike and have some good times with the fam. After all, It’s St. Patty’s Day. Let’s all get a little Irish before, after, and during the race. But be careful because this a public city street. Act responsibly.

iMiNUSD is putting together a MONSTER edit for the Bicycle Film Festival. San Jose has never submitted a film like this. We all need to do our part to show San Jose at it’s finest.

We were all really impressed at the group that came out last week to the trail ride. Fast and experienced. Let’s keep it up.

On another note, we got a little more daylight now. W00t! Here’s quick straight forward sprint loop out to the Mary Ave Bike Bridge. Yeah, I’ll know we’ll be hitting a few lights on this route, but I designed in that way so everyone can get some sprint training in for Thursday’s St. Patty’s Day Dash. We’ll stop at the bridge (quite simply cause it needs to be enjoyed… as Ruel knows), then we will pit stop at the Starbucks on Stevens Creek and De Anza shortly after. From there it’s an all out sprint to 4th St Pizza. We will ride rain or shine this week.
