This is practically an east side landmark… the orange cement ball that sells hot dogs! It’s an old picture above but they’ve renovated it and continue to sell different hot dogs and diner fair with a big outdoor seating area to fit all of us. Come for a leisure ride and grub tomorrow night!

Tuesday Night Ride 08.31.10 – Mary Ave. Bike Bridge / Cupertino Loop

Most of you have already been out to the Mary Ave. Bridge, but if you haven’t The Mary Ave. Bike Bridge has to be one of the coolest things for bikers I have seen in the South Bay Area. Some of you may remember it from last year’s drag race but for those that have yet to bike over it, I highly suggest you come out for this flat ride to check it out. It is bit of a longer ride (27 miles) but there will be a break and we can split into two groups so no one gets left behind. Also, please check out the route just in case you get separated from the group!!

PS Summer is coming to a close, that means bring your lights!

There will be a ride leaving from the SJSU Event Center Fountain at 6:30pm sharp if you want a guided trip to Bassett Track. Otherwise be at Bassett Track by 7pm. Everyone is encouraged to try and sprint! It is a very short sprint and is fun & friendly competition. It is free to race so you have no excuses! This time around the folks from iMiNUSD & Leader Bikes will be giving away a 2010 725TR frame for the winner! Remember this is on a Thursday guys, mark your calendars! Facebook Event Page

Here is a 22 mile East Hills/Fowler/Reverse YB loop.
The route goes through a bit of rollers on the east. Very doable, no drop ride (We will wait at the big lights and after coming down hills), but please make sure you check the route.
If we do well we could even pace line on the way back down King Rd. to Tully.
We can water break at the top of Fowler (mile 11) AND snack break (mile 13.5) at Starbucks at after the Evergreen Valley College descent.

Tuesday Night Ride 08.10.10 – Hellyer Velodrome

It’s the last Tuesday Night Race at the Velodrome for this summer! Everyone come out and get your kits on to race, or come out at support your fellow riders at the track! The racing starts promptly at 7pm so don’t be late! The spectator ride leaves from the fountain at 6:30pm. If you plan on racing make sure you’ve had at least 3 beginner sessions and get there before 7pm. See everyone at turn 1 or the bleachers with some snacks and beer to root us on!

Vegan nom nom nom time!!! Many of you have already had TCC before and I’m sure you can all agree that it is some of the best vegetarian food in the South Bay. Even if you’re not vegetarian the food here is delicious and has a lot of meat inspired items. We’ll be doing a social paced loop of the Airport. Come and try it! See you tomorrow!
