As many of you have heard, last week in Los Gatos a SUV hit a cyclist in Los Gatos
and he did not survive. His name was Joshua West and he had a 7 year old daughter
that he has left behind. Tyson was talking to some of his friends and found out that
they are having a fundraiser for his daughter at Rock Bottom Brewery in Campbell.
Between 6 and 7pm 15% of any sales will go to his family to help them out (They are
tapping new kegs so it will be $1 beers). Even if you don’t have money to buy anything,
it would be nice to come out and show his family that they have the communities support.

What a better way of curing those soppy weather blues….. SUGAR!!! Queen’s Donuts
and Ice Cream shop is actually another 24hr donut shop in San Jose that has some decent
reviews on Yelp (Jessica absolutely refused to let me take you guys out to Yum Yum donuts
to spare everyone from mediocrity). Just like this week’s TNR, we have a 50% chance of PM
showers (according to weather.com) but the TNR ride was pretty dry for the most part! So wet
or not, come out get your sugar high and warm up with some coffee. Then let’s round out the
night with our pitcher night caps at 4th St. Pizza

Once again the weather has decided to throw us a 50% chance of showers tomorrow. It
doesn’t sound too bad, but just to be safe we’ll be riding mostly flat miles over to Saratoga.
Since downtown Saratoga is mostly dark and dead at night, we’ll be riding over to the nearby
shopping center for snacks/rest. Also, this is the 2nd to last TNR before the Alleycat, so come
out and get those legs warmed up!

5 Storms hit the West Coast in 5 days. So the rain has finally come, after countless times
of weather reports stating heavy rainfall in the past few weeks, this time I think they’re right.
For those of you that don’t mind getting wet or if the rain lets up at night tomorrow. Since those
of you coming out don’t mind getting wet, instead of doing a shorter ride to the Row, we’ll be
doing a longer route but on flat ground. We’ll be riding through Santa Clara and looping back
to downtown. Rain rides are pretty fun if you have the proper gear, so get your fender and
raincoat (or garbage bag) and come out!

Wooo, this Thursday is actually going to be a break from the rain! 0% chance of rain
that day so whoever has been holed up because of the rain, today is your chance to
ride around for a bit. For this social we will be heading to A Slice of New York. This
place has been voted best pizza of 2009 from the metro, the wave, and the mercury
news! It will be a nice change of pace from always eating the pizza at 4th St. Pizza
(which is pretty damn good). As usual, after heading to A Slice of New York we will
head back to downtown for our $5 pitchers and chill session at 4th. St. Pizza. See you
there! Oh and PS, this is a social paced ride, try to keep it one group as much as possible
or volunteer to lead some that are falling behind.
